Well right out of the sky came a curious kid Stickin alphabet letters to the mini fridge Singin Flyin Purple People Eaters Waiting on his voice to change He turned 16 a young entrepreneur Got himself a job down at the In-N-Out Burger He was mixing mixtapes in with the orders Until somebody called and complained Well so it goes It goes so fast You get bounced you bounce right back Like you've always done Somewhere out in the universe There's a luckier version of me He made it on the big TV But I wouldn't know So it goes Well it didn't take long til I updated my racket Bought myself a new Starter jacket Went to proselytizing for a few bad habits Stuffed a cushion full of cold hard cash But I learned real quick, I just ain't that bold Somebody kicked in my front door with a Samurai sword I gave up my money without so much as a word And they made off with the rest of the stash Well so it goes It goes so fast You see your whole life go by in a flash Man it hurts so bad Somewhere out in the parallels There's a tougher version of me But I heard he died tragically That's all I know So it goes Well I made it this far yeah I'm a little bit older A little bit wiser, and still hungover I got a little more baggage but broader shoulders That still need rubbing at the end of the day Yeah I call myself a real renaissance man I'm just rarely up on the subject at hand It takes too much effort to give a good damn And nobody gives one anyway Well so it goes It goes so fast I just heard another second pass That we can't get back Somewhere out in the cosmos There's a younger version of me But he's just as dumb as I'll ever be This I know So it goes
