47. The Thief, The Accused, And the Judge

Part 1:

There I stood, with all of the other accused

Shackled, bound, with accusations coming from the Thief himself

Who would mark us as guilty, by another man’s fall

Each of us, equally filled with guilt

The shame of knowing that we were identified as slaves

Not even given a name, but a number,

Of all of the numbers I could have been given

I was chosen

As Number 7

Part 2:

Then my time came, to stand before

The Holiest of Holy

The King of Majesty

And the Thief accused me

Of being uncleaned

But then Your Majesty stepped down

And defended me

Part 3:

Why would You do this for me?

I began to question

Because there stood the Thief

Fighting me

And You came up

And removed any name

That tried to remove my rights

As Your heir

Cause I am Yours

Part 4:

Then I heard the chains began to fall

Not just mine

But all the others around

As we declared this one name together

Jesus, Jesus

We knew our time as slaves was done now

And there was nothing

Part 5:

The Thief could do but watch

Granted freedom

To all who called

On the name of

Jesus, His one son

Now it came

In fullness

His great grace

What we’ve never felt or embraced

Up until now

How sweet the sound

Part 6:

Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost, but now am found

Now I’m found

T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear

T’was Grace, my fears now relieved

Completely free

Part 7:

Now the world would you listen I have a message

I hope You hear that Jesus saves

Jesus saves

If You look around

You’ll see

He’d always been there

Fighting for You

Part 8:

I believe now

He lives in me

I am clean

From the sins of yesterday

And today

And You can believe too

Part 9:

All You have to do

Is say with all of Your heart

“Lord Jesus, will You come into my heart

And be Lord of my life

I know I’ve sinned

But today

I accept You

As Lord of my life

So take my life

Its Yours

In Jesus name

Amen”

And you will see

Part 10:

That this life

Was meant to give Him glory

There is nothing

That can replace what He’s done

Just for us

So come all you weary

Those who are broken

This is not how life was meant to be

To live in bondage

But to live in grace

Part 11:

Would you come

Come and see

What He’s done for me

HE can do it for you

Just believe

And You’ll see….
