Somewhere far away A cloudburst of delusion Comes to wash away what we would save Bracing for the storm Fearing its intrusion Hoping that our house withstands the wave Somewhere much too close The fires of disillusion Stoked by spectres of a long gone day Forgive but not forget They said was the solution But that won't keep the demon's wrath at bay Awake another day In a land of grand confusion Hoping that our scars will somehow mend Knowing deep inside As the battle nears conclusion The struggles in our soul will never end
