Let’s just say it one more time

Before the second hand, leaves it in the past

And I’m gonna miss this

Think I’ll stay beside the tree and fall asleep

To another Christmas movie

I’m just holding on

To a Silent Night

All is calm and all is bright

Just like the leaves out on the lawn

They’re green then yellow brown and gone

Green then yellow, brown and gone

Though the days can seem so slow

The years I swear the years

They melt away like Georgia snow

And I can’t let Christmas go

I remember,

Christmas Day when I was younger

With my brothers and my parents

Down on Hampton trail

So simple, so magical

You’d think that it could never change

Don’t you know a change comes still

And we all moved on

And we scattered far

From California to New York

Just like the leaves out on the lawn

Wide awake with wonder

We didn’t know
