December, the fifteenth

I haven't been on a date in over a month,

Since December fifteenth has come and gone.

That very day you sent the words,

"Don't want us to keep this connection."

And it shatters my entire frame,

I can't fathom why you ended it this way.

It frustrates me so terribly,

And it seems I'll never find someone like you—really.

I have no strength left to keep on the chase.

I so wanted what we built to succeed,

I gave it my all, every bit of speed,
