We're caught by a beast

Feeding on life and dreams

An insatiable monster

Provoking a reptile hunger

Flashing our vanity

Promoting a poisonous jealousy

Eradicating nearness

creating a dangerous illness

Open up your eyes

Stop documenting all of the lies

We don't see all the beauty ahead

Too busy getting ourselves interrupted instead
