As I walk down this road covered with the snow

I caught a glimpse of a different life

And in the blink of an eye I saw your side

And I saw a life that I had never really known

I got excited and I tried too hard

To keep it separate from where we are

Who is she and has she ever thought of me

Though we've never met

I'm like an idea in her head

And the weight of these thoughts is starting to build up too high

My knees get weak I hit the ground

But it makes no sound it isn't real

And the lights in my eyes are manufactured to set the mood
