Goodbye Letter

Woke up this morning to face

The things I've done and the places that I've been

On the fall down, you know,

I lost more than my fair share of friends

I don't owe you a damn thing

But I just gotta let you know

That I'm getting the help that I need

And it's about time I let you go

And I don't expect you to write back

But I just gotta let you see

I'm doing what I must

When the triggers hit

You know it fills my head so full of doubt

Fighting these demons, you know they say

It's going to be a lifelong bout

But I got nothing but time to kill

30 days until I get out

There's so much I could make right

Best not sit around and pout

And I don't expect you to write back

Looking through the past years

I can't believe I didn't end up dead
