Doing Fine

How've you been? What's new with you? Are you still working at that place? How is life? What are you up to now? Every time, it's always the same So I say, "I'm alright, I'm OK" And I force a smile on my face But what I really want to say is That I'm in pieces That I'm a broken shell of a man And there's no one who can Put me right back together again That I've been grieving That I cry myself to sleep every night But I don't say that 'Cause it's always never the time So I just smile And say, "I'm doing fine" What'll they think? Will they think I'm weak If I put my heart out on display? What does it mean To be strong and brave?
