Born of Sleep

On to a realm where life flows free and no reign is given

I shook the coven from my eyes

To inhale the dewy evening air

To find long lost courage I beheld to cast a glance

And let my soul slip away, beyond to pass

Imprisoned I am no longer by these deceptive days

I withdrew from life to discern my convictions

For the longest time I had been afraid

Reality comes apart at the seams

My consciousness no longer kept me afloat

I submerged, saw the surface pass me by

Far past the dusky nightfall's blue I drifted

Where to roam only for me to determine

A lucid dream state lured me in

In slumber embraced I shall wake once more

Giving in to all that had gathered on my eyelids

Sweet languor overwhelming, wistful trance come onto me

Heal my yearning, to let go of this waking world

For in sleep I am reborn
