The tanks are rolling on

Empty city streets

No resistance there

Nobody is safe

Lonely child is staring

Horror in her eyes

Holding mothers hand

Lying still

In her dark demise

She hears the sirens

Howling in the night

Don't know what to do

Looking up to the sky

Then everything turns black

The world is burning down

Darkness all around

Suddenly everything is gone

Dust is falling down

Nothing can be seen

Just a distant scream

Echoes on the streets

All is lost

Nothing can nevermore be saved

Blood red sky is glowing

Crying stops

Silent pain remains

In the dead of night

We keep moving on

Maybe we can find

A place to call our own

Sounds of fighting

Still ringing in our ears

Bloody turmoil

Fueling all our deepest fears
