Straight from the Heart

ANOTHER DAWN

Another dawn and a new day begins

What happens then comes from within

A stretch and a yawn brings the day to a start

And she brings it together, straight from the heart

She has her breakfast and her cup of Earl Grey

Goes into the bathroom to wash the sleep away

She’s showered and ready to face the day

Another long slog for another days pay

Gets into the office just past nine,

Look at your workload, it sounds just fine

Another job arrives, she start feeling the stress

And before the days out, she start feeling a mess

No one knows about her workload worries

More work comes on her not even a sorry

As she struggles and worries to get the job done

Others around just plays and have fun

It’s all in a day’s work, and it really does hurt

To see your efforts and her ideas down in the dirt

She hopes they don’t mean it, it’s not meant to be cruel

In the back of her mind, she’s thinking am I a fool

At the end of the shift she feels she’s adrift

Rushes out the office, you won’t be missed

Sips her coffee as she get on the tube

So no one sees her face or feels her mood

She shuts her front door, can’t takes any more

Takes her glass of wine, and lies on the floor

Contemplate her future, and what she will do

What in the world are you gonna do.

She watch Tv, gathers in the news

Hearing all the horrors and the pundits false views

Feeling the thunder and what has been said

Before she turn the TV off and gets nto bed.
