Doom Scrolling

Well the world's got me freaking out again

Feels like we're on a steep descent

Anxiety's reaching all new heights

Doom scrolling late into the night

Well what do we see? White supremacists, proud boys and Nazis

Terrorizing the streets

Fake patriots, full of privilege and ingnorance

And armed to the teeth

It never seems to cease, I can't shut my eyes

Still keeps me up at night

The dread is lingering, the tightness in my chest

Nothing ever feels quite right

Everything's still freaking me out

Can't seem to wrap my head around

Ignore data and science being said

For your confirmation bias instead

Well, what do we see? Intolerance born from fragility

Bursting at the seams

Total Hippocrates, lashing out for any inconvenience

Of ideology

It never seems to cease, I can't shut my eyes

Still keeps me up at night

Craving balance and normalcy

Only finding more insanity
