Sugar in a Memory

What do I need to stare at?

To focus on all time and space

To carry me, across the sea

So I can see the unfurled thread of the grand scheme

What do I need to chew upon?

To taste the sugar in a memory

Sleeping soundly, screaming loudly

I'll always hear the echoes near, I hold so dear

What do I need to do?

To feed the decaying seed?

Dirt and feed

And water and breath

My composition is wet

Sun and air

And the reaching of limbs

The compost is turning again

Though it reeks

And the flies are in heat

What will grow will be sweeter than me
