Broken Down Ole Merry-Go-Round

The sadness of that broken down old merry-

Go-round (Merry-go-round, merry-go-round)

Its music box is silent now, it can't make a

Once, its shiny horses all seemed to say

"Children, climb aboard right back and play

And when you're grown up, think of yesterday"

Please don't let my shiny paint fade away

When I was young, I had such fun

All ridin' around on the merry-go-round

"Faster, faster," I would cry

But it kept slowin' down

And finally it stopped
