Fading to Black

Sheets of night lay heavy and still

Every breath, a whispered chill

Colors drained from what we had

Left in shadows, tangled and sad

Traces of you, etched in light

Fading slow from my sight

Like broken glass across the sky

Sharp and cold, as you say goodbye

Now I'm fading to black, sinking down

Into the echoes, lost and found

You were my light, my sky, my home

But now I wander, lost, alone

Memories burn, a silent flame

The way you laughed, the way you came

A thousand pieces, scattered wide

Fragments of love we tried to hide

In every shadow, your ghost remains

A flicker soft in endless rain

I reach, I fall, it slips away

The night consumes, pulls me astray

Now I'm fading to black, can't hold on

To the light we shared, now gone

You were my star, my guide, my spark

Now I drift alone in the dark
