Fireflies

Trying to catch

A beating monster in my chest

But it doesn't take any space

It melts through my hands

And it speaks with my mouth

For a moment I believe it's sound

And then I doubt

I'm a child

On a string with a sting in my arm

Fingers wanna kill flies

Lips wanna smoke

Then the lungs cry

Unfair vote

Chemical minds exploring hills

Then worrying about bills

It all seems true like the sun in the sky

But it's hard to believe it at night

Walking a mile

Moving a stone

A cave under bones (oooo)

Sending a smile
