गाने

I grew up in the land of the free,
Where dreams are sold like candy,
But as I look around, I see the cracks,
In the foundation of this country, it's hard to relax.
From the streets of Chicago to the shores of L.A.,
I've watched the fabric fray, day by day.
Politicians lie, and the truth gets lost,
In a sea of division, we're paying the cost.
I'm American and ashamed,
In a world where kindness is often blamed.
I'm holding my heart, but it's heavy with doubt,
Wondering what this country's really about.
I remember the days of hope and pride,
When we stood together, side by side.
But now it feels like a battle line,
With hate and anger, we've crossed the line.
From the protests in the streets to the news on the screen,
I see the pain, the struggle, the unseen.
The voices of the marginalized, crying for change,
While the powerful sit back, it's all so strange.
I'm American and ashamed,
In a world where kindness is often blamed.
I'm holding my heart, but it's heavy with doubt,
Wondering what this country's really about.
I've seen the fires of injustice burn,
The lessons of history, when will we learn?
From the echoes of the past, we can't turn away,
It's time to stand up, it's time to say:
We're better than this, we can rise above,
With unity and hope, let's spread the love.
So here I am, with my heart on my sleeve,
Confessing my fears, it's hard to believe.
That the land of the brave can be so unkind,
But I'll keep fighting, I won't be blind.
For every voice that's silenced, I'll raise mine high,
In the face of despair, we'll reach for the sky.
Together we'll build, together we'll mend,
A future of hope, where love can transcend.
I'm American and ashamed,
But I'll stand for justice, I'll never be tamed.
With courage and strength, I'll shout it out loud,
For the land that I love, I'll stand proud.
So here's my confession, my heartfelt plea,
Let's change the narrative, let's set it free.
I'm American and ashamed, but I still believe,
In the power of change, in the dreams we weave.
