I know how it works- & it doesnʼt!

Systemʼs out to get us everyday.

I canʼt stand it. & Iʼm always right.

Here comes the goon: a real, no good, son of a bitch.

The goonʼs trying to hold us down, our discomfortʼs selfish.

Culturally numb, instinctually inadequate.

Open up & bleed, we know what you mean.

Never seen a grudge like this before.

The goons are here, theyʼre feeding off us.

Theyʼre trying to wear us down.

Break our will, lose our trust, keep us desperate.

Tease a check, track us down, hold us up.

Theyʼre trying to tell us: how to be, what to do, how to look, where to go.

Itʼs funny to think: a number, a threat, would work.

Hereʼs the goons, theyʼre comin for ya, with stars in their eyes.

Here, the goons, they try for order, but we hate, they cry, we despise.

Goonʼs comin in from both sides, theyʼll all be shot down. Whoʼll be the next in line?

The system doesnʼt work
