Kneeling beside her, I listened

As my mama prayed

Quiet faith and calm assurance

Showed me the Father was there

And He'd make a way

She wasn't perfect

But if you were hurting

Her arms would enfold you with love

She never doubted

That Christ was her Savior

A truth she passed onto us

Certain He hears when I pray
