Embers of the Dying Sun

Death is beginning of new life

End of torment end of strife

Destiny for those who wait

Yet I’m betrayed by winds of fate

I am denied

My fate justified

Succored by dreams of endless sleep

Trapped in the never ending deep

Lost in the void of a nameless star,

Casting shadows on a faultless realm from afar

A darkness lies ahead, I fear the journey

As I climb

Higher, and higher- As the bodies feed the pyre

The art of war is mine

Watching from the brink of a past divergency

Reeling in the void, with an unheard scream

Immortal, encircled

By this never ending blackness

Devoid of life

And as the light begins to fade away

I feel the journeys at it end

Yet, I will not break

Dark rain it falls around me

My mind, shattered, by the sight of blackened ashes

I won’t give in - Though I can’t deny what I’ve seen

Martyr that they sought to make

And yet my future is mine

Forsaken the many one of the few

Fighting their battles, countless I’ve skew

Strength and Valor gone to the wind

Eternal conflict wracks my heart
