I was a cynical

He said he was one too

I called him silver

And I was blue

I tried to stay away

Not look into his eyes

He smelled like danger

I'd had enough of that

But if I was the ocean

He was the moon

I tried to stay in place

But he was gravity

I'd worked so hard

On building up this shell

Thought it was bulletproof

Somehow he found a way

But if I was the ocean

Gravity

He looked like silver

So I thought he wanted gold

I was so freezing

Turns out that he was just as cold

I was the ocean

He was the moon

I am the ocean

The deepest of blue

I flow with the moon

He is my gravity
