Waterfall Eyes

When the water falls from my eyes

And I don't know why or what to do

About this sinking feeling inside

I smile through, I smile through

I don't want to bother you

With my dark cloud

Or even say out loud

That I'm not feeling myself

But I'm not feeling myself

And the tears fall in secret

Alone even in a crowd of people

And my heart sinks down

Ashamed, in shut down, afraid

Fluttering fast

This is something I'll get past

The noise around me

Should be comfort but I'm drowning

And they say, 'you don't look happy today'

So I smile and say, 'I'm ok'

While the flicker of happiness inside fades away
