So what is home to me

I guess that's a good question

I guess in the past I used to think it was a place where you were born

The family that you grew up with

The people that you are around

Then as I got alittle bit older

Maybe it was the place that you found

Cause home doesn't always feel like home

For everybody just because it's the place you was born

Ya know, everybody's situation is different

So i thought maybe that it's a place along the way

That you searched and searched

And eventually you find a place that perfectly lines up with

Who you want to be and where you want to be

But i think the more time that goes on

I think that, i realize that

That place doesn't necessarily exist

You know i don't know if it's something that you find

And more that it might be a place that you make

A home might be a matter of deciding that

Right here and right now

This is what I'm going to try to make work

And maybe that's more of what home is ya know

It's that decision, it's that place

It's those circumstances

That you decide, good or bad

That this is where i'm safe

This is where I'm going to put my roots down

This is what I'm going to make work

Whether it's perfect or not

I think that to me is kind of what home is about
