God come on smile upon my life just one time

I've never won anything in my whole life

who wants to prove to the world that they came from that

they're not some loser who has got no plan

But who is on the offensive 'gainst the ones in their alliance

Rendered to pretend they're not with us ninety nine

But who wouldn't want everything to be easier

Why would you ever think that you've even come close

Tell me less about your dreams and more about what you've done

Living vicariously for what you'll never become

I've heard all the fantasies such opulent worship

It's all so laughably and alarmingly absurd

Who put the work in for a trivial fraction

But is still an apologist for those whipping their back

Me, I'll watch the rocket ship blow up and laugh about it for days

I swear to god I ain't showing up again til I get paid
