Underneath the arid desert skies

It feels so desolate

Wandering by the remnants of our lives

The ruin is evident

Hallucinations invoked by memories

I can hear you now

The call of your voice is pulling me under

You bury me

I feel you in the air

Amidst the shifting sands

Watched you ascend into the starlight

I am blinded by the moonglade reflections

A mirage of false intentions

Will my eyes perceive the truth that you were never there?

And so I’m left alone to wander from your presence
