The Right Thing

What has God ever done for me?

He broke up my family

When I accepted Jesus into my life

Two full rainbows went across the sky

My aunt started to cry

A year before my grandpa died

He told me that he was ready for the afterlife

He told me it was his time

Another dimension, reincarnation

As long as he got to see his mother and his brothers again

Just once before the end

But he never mentioned

God or heaven…

What has God ever done for me?

He sure as Hell never taught me to do the right thing

That was all JP

Thank God for my Mom and Dad

My sister and my brother

And all the best friends I ever had

Even the ones who were bad
