Ever since I was a baby, she's been good to me
She's kept me warm and safe, and she's kept me company
She cleaned up all the mess I made and even wiped my bum
So why can't people be more like my Mum
Other people that I know treat me pretty well
But none as good as my Mum though, as far as I can tell
Even when I do dumb things, she never calls me dumb
So why can't people be more like my Mum
I know in my teenage years we're bound to have some fights
Even now, I'll admit, my Mum is often right
She'll always look out for me when all is said and done
So why can't people be more like my Mum
I've have never had the chance to tell her how I feel
To thank her for her patience, and cooking all those meals
I love her with all my heart, she's still my number one
So why can't people be more like my Mum
