Wassup yall
this is the Geometry Commentary album
I created this to share background info
that informs the overall nature of the project
give you an inside look at my musical thought process
and dive a bit deeper into
the inspiration behind each of the songs
Additionally, I wanted to reveal more details about the storyline
and characters that are buried in the world I created
Geometry is a love story about Iris
who is romantically connected with three people
yet she finds herself fighting for
attention from one lover who
continues to run her in circles
and refuses to fully commit
Although she's madly in love with Janine
you know, or it might be lust
her unique relationship with Malaak and Stedman
are too deep to abandon, so
In Iris' perfect world
this love triangle would essentially be a square
Now, let's jump to the overture
The overture was literally
the last
musical piece that I created for the project
which is
ironic because it's the first thing that you hear
It serves as the opening theme
sort of like, you know
the intro music at the head of a film
I wanted the overture to function as a
synopisis of the overall message
but still create this sense of anticipation
Morse Code was used as the skeleton to create this
as well as for the interludes and the Coda
So what you hear musically actually
Spells out the titles for each of these pieces
When it comes to the lyrics we have
Sometimes love is complicated
And like math it'll leave you confused
So this refers to how we see love
as this thing that we just can't really figure out how to get right
And, I compare it to math because I'm sure we can all agree that
it's most people's least favorite subject and
the deeper you get into the advanced concepts
the harder it is to understand
And you know like...
there's always one or two people in your math class
that have this genius level of understanding of it
and everyone is like yo how are you understanding this shit
So this kinda hints at those couples or people in life
that just seem to have relationships that work
and everyone is like picking their brain to figure out the secret
But, what I realized is that
understanding math is about being patient
paying attention to details
honoring the process
and so much more
So, you know and love is kinda like that too
We continue with
But no matter the form it's all sacred... geometry
And what I'm saying here is that
genuine love is sacred
no matter what form it arrives in
and if you know anything about sacred geometry
you know that it is at the core of everything that exists
in the natural and spiritual world
And, love is too
but we don't always honor and express it
So, without further ado
Here's the Overture
