We understand that the winds have changed,

As sounds freeze on the ground.

She perpetrates the notion we effect our fates,

In the ether’s lost and found.

We stand together on our promenade,

And shelter from each dying fall.

The fire-star etches out from night,

We feel its guiding call.

Where do we go right now?

Where it’s safe for you and me?

Can we be alone right now

As the lone star hits the sea

It was ever meant to be.

Go, where you want to go

Just where you want to flow

In the rivers of the night.

Fly to the conscious plane

As we wax and wane

This old rope has cut through all our hope,

In the cold hard light of day.

A promise lingers on my bitter lips,

Snatching the world is making way.

Jam jars hang from the orchard trees,

A glow worm given light.

Stealing time from the old crusade,

Puts us out of sight.

Do you think I don't know right now?

All the wicked things you do.

The fire-star gives birth to light,
