Who’s that bathing over there?

Human beauty – she’s beyond compare!

Such a treasure to have chanced upon

The stars shine kindly tonight for King Oberon

Am I victim to espionage?

He could do with better camouflage –

‘Course, I heard him waxing lyrical,

How could this god take an interest – a miracle!

Am I dreaming? Am I awake?

Hi, I’m Oberon, I’m not a fake

This has always rather tickled me

How humans see things in their minds and deem it fantasy

What’s the play called? - God I feel a fool!

The one by Shakespeare, I read it one time at school

Hard to grasp it

But I exist

Shakespeare didn’t write me – there’s the twist

He just listened oh so carefully

And I appeared on the page – that’s how you know me

So the maidens, they come and go

How I cope with it I’ll never know -

Could this damsel be my ‘Mrs Right’?

I better keep Titania out of this – or face a fight
