At what age do you feel like a grown up?

Is it when you get those keys

To your first car or when you crash it

Or walk in the bar without a fake ID?

Is it getting your first house

Losing your first love or moving out of your hometown?

Is it when you get married, start having babies?

Yeah, I thought I’d know by now

Getting older don’t make you wiser

It’s the heartbreaks along the way

And some prayers just don’t get answered

Until you look back someday

I still love an ICEE from 7-Eleven

Still need my mama at twenty-seven

Thought I’d be living my five-year plan ten years ago

I’m just making it up as I go

Maybe when I turn thirty

I’ll finally feel settled down

Or will I still feel like a grown-up kid

Playing my music way too loud

If I catch these dreams I’ve been chasing

Will that be the day I finally made it

Or will there always be another mountain left to climb?

Or will I find...
