Dancing in the Rain

We were sneaking out at night, laying under stars

Living with a dream in our hearts 

Young and seventeen, driving after dark 

Burning gasoline in your daddy’s car 

Photos in the yearbook fade away 

But the moments live in memories 

And after all the adventures

I feel so lost in my senses

I wanna laugh, wanna dance, wanna cry

We’ve been through so much together

But nothing really lasts forever 

As much as I don’t want anything to change 

You can’t have your moments in the sun, 

Without dancin’ in the rain 

Came home for summer break, kissin by the lake 

Everything stayed the same for one night 

Summer had to give way to the fall

Looking back it was so unbelievable

And after all the adventures
