Until one day i saw myself above the sea

She was smiling softly at me

Suddenly i could feel the thread in my sock

And see the veins in the leaves

And taste the difference between salty and sweet

But once you start seeing it you can’t go back

because you know you’re cheating yourself on a mystery

much greater than that
