Growing Up

I'm feeling kind of stuck, it's like I'm running out of air

And breathing in just doesn't make a difference

Tried talking to myself, turns out that I don't even care

I would've thought that I'd have shown an interest

'Bout things that I should know, now that I'm a little older

The things that I thought I'd do by the age I am now

The feeling that I thought I'd be a little more mature

I'm livid with myself and how I'm living now

Shot down, guess my time is up

For really messing up, I'm probably old enough

Sick of the same old fears

And the endless tears, I think I've had enough

This feeling's got me tired and it's more than I can bear

If I let it go, will it all make a difference?

I changed the way I spoke, I tried to be more self-aware

Just ended up a walking contradiction

The things that I should know, now that I'm a little older

The things that I can do 'cause I'm the age I am now

I'm living with myself and how I'm living now

Go and catch a movie, see my friends

Talk a bunch of crap while I'm making my dinner

Call up my friend, ask them 'bout the day they had
