Whoever decided progress was made from mistakes

Certainly didn't predict this mess we're in

'cause all of our mistakes keep piling up

And no one wants to clean their own house

My dog Toby is asleep in the kitchen

His anti-anxiety meds are kicking in

But that won't stop him from barking and startling at everyone and everything he loves
