I kept
Chasin people who were too scared to love
And no matter how hard i please i would never earn they trust so i was
Freefallin into a deep abyss
Until i found myself and gave a sigh of bliss
Start yo journey, move forward through healing
Cause now i see it all and i could tell how you feelin
I know about your past, some days you be simpin
All the pieces to the puzzle but im the piece that you’re missin
Chorus:
It took one time
For me to choose not to settle no more
You gotta accept yourself for who you are
Sit in solitude
Just listen for the sound
You gotta look in then out
In then out
Zo1 Verse:
We keep goin round and round
We keep gettin lost and found
Listen you can hear the sound
Of my heart when it hits the ground
Cuz you left me down and out
And i fought it pound for pound
You gotta breathe in then out
Have u ever been in love befo
Have u eva had yo heart thrown in the mud befoe
This society make it tough i know
We all movin too fast aint takin nothin slow
Yea that healing its gon take a while
You gotta make up witcha self before you reconcile
Remember thinkin that the timin was right
But now its time to take u outta my life
Kahlil
I find honor in the people i value made a collective
The sky aint the limit to me, its a perspective
Fall down 9 times out of 10 you’ll see me steppin
It took years to get the plan right king, so we expect it
If all you see from yo vision is consequences
Reconsider the people you choose to listen
Yo life should paint the picture not supply a pain addiction
You cant see the real from the fiction its yo condition
Vic
How Black progression the subject matter thats dark
They see yo skin and thats the first thing they pick apart
This Warfare the worlds affair so everybody pick parts
Pleadin askin but they gon mask it like its a pic art
Animated be my reaction don’t work for pixar
Land of the kings, from mountaintop where it rings
You can’t account for when you wake up its part of the dream
So i advise you just stay up and see what it means
Chorus:
It took one time
For me to choose not to settle no more
You gotta accept yourself for who you are
Sit in solitude
Just listen for the sound
You gotta look in then out
In then out
(Outro)Yeawa:
I believe self love is unique for everyone honestly
For me it started with i think
Some just catalytic experiences that spirit knew i was ready for
In order to get closer to myself
I believe self love is unique for everyone honestly. For me it started with having some of these catalytic experiences that spirit knew I was ready for in order to essentially get closer to myself.
Those experiences have allowed me to love all parts of me that don’t get enough light, acknowledgement or enough sun as I like to say.
To embrace those parts and listen and love those outer layer parts of myself.
I really think learning yourself starts with your relationship with self along with having dialogue with yourself or checking in with self.
Taking the time to sit with yourself like you would with someone you care for, like a partner.
I think for myself it was huge to recognize this idea that finding yourself never stops.
I think we get better with time by doing this. Overall I think because as humans, we continue to change, to evolve and shift.
I think continuously carving out time to get to know yourself and allow yourself to be curious with one’s self is huge on one’s self love and self journey.
