Ringing

I found the ringing in my ears

in my mind

it’s still the same as it ever was

i found the pieces of my life

on the ground

staring up at me i’m staring down

wondering why

all my memories held on too tight

there’s a darkness around me

without you

i feel you breathing but you’re leaving soon

i’m in a fight

with the rhythm of a traffic light

flashing green

when all i want now is to go to sleep
