Another Year Again

The years have passed you by

But your face is all that changes in this town

You can make it up so high that

The only place that is left to go is down

Right now, it's fine, but soon

You'll find you are running out of time

And it won't be long until all your hopes

And dreams are dead and gone

My own friends have lost their way;

Growing old is always hardest on the outcast

It's a dirty, risky game to play

But someone always has to come in last

They're not blind

But they can't see through the pennies on their eyes

And I can't say why

But I'm haunted by the voices in my mind

So picture this

Because there is no promise of another breath

And I say farewell because it's over
