I was sitting back drinking

Thinking about them old days

My granddaddy use to let me play the blues all night

Johnny Taylor was an old fave

I was living on a dirt road

Granny had a cadilac coupe Seville

Almetter had a trailer at the end of the road

I miss them good country meals

Hey back in the day I was told if it's old then you got a good thing

More soul than sand on the beach momma told me how to keep a good name

I was raised on Them old ways I'm talking about them good old days

Like when your song came on party at home just let the radio play

I was raised on them old ways I'm talking bout them good old days

It's a party goin on all night long I'm going to let the radio play

It sounds so good aunt teeki use to let me drive fish tailing on them country roads

Me and my brothers hit the corner store deep buying auger cane out the store

I remember when I lost my tooth I remember when I bought my first juice

Even kept some beef jerky stuffed down in my jeans for the neighborhood dog that got loose

I was raised on them old ways I'm talking bout them good old days

And even though that new stuff is neat I'd rather have an antique and listen to the ojays

I was raised on Them old ways I'm talking about them good old days

Like when your song came on party at home just let the radio play

I was raised on them old ways I'm talking bout them good old days

It's a party goin on all night long im going to let the radio play
