Everybody worships something Some call it money some power some fame Some call it freedom some call it self But every god gets tested And the final test is death

I put my faith in the figures the digits the name Built a kingdom from hustle put my soul in the game Made success my religion every win fed the flame Called it vision called it drive while my pride took the reins Said I did it myself like I breathed my own breath Put myself on the throne like I conquered my death Then I realized the god I was building was myself Money buys houses but it can't buy time Power moves crowds but can't order one more life Fame puts your face ten stories high But when the heart stops beating none of that keeps you alive You can stack it stash it bury it away But you can't take one possession through the doorway of the grave And that shook me had me questioning why If the thing I worship can't save me when I die Why am I giving it my life

Then somebody told me about Jesus Not a statue not a symbol A Man who claimed to be God and stepped into the darkness Didn't preach His way around death He walked straight toward it They beat Him mocked Him nailed Him to a cross Wrapped Him in linen laid Him underneath the stone And if that's where it ended then the faith was dead and gone

They laid Him down They closed the tomb Stone on the door Thought that was the end Three days later Stone rolled away EMPTY GRAVE HE'S ALIVE Every idol has a grave Every kingdom fades Every name that man has raised Gets buried just the same BUT THERE'S ONE EMPTY GRAVE

Now show me another show me a god who defeated death Show me a King who went into the grave and came back again Show me an idol that can answer when your heartbeat quits Show me another name that can save a sinner like this Show me another who came back alive Show me another name that can justify a guilty man The grave strips the counterfeit strips the disguise No money no influence no image no lies Just u and whatever u trusted when u knew u would die I had idols in my wallet and phone Idols in my mirror on my throne I wasn't carving statues I was becoming one Calling myself free while chained to myself Then Jesus entered death Took the weight of sin let the nails testify They sealed Him in a tomb stone heavy at the entrance Three days passed Then the stone moved

Early Sunday Mary reached the tomb Tears on her face thinking death had won Then she saw the stone rolled away Walked inside but the body was gone Grave clothes folded Why seek the living where the dead have been He was dead then He wasn't That's what I couldn't shake If Christ stayed dead then throw away the faith But if Christ walked out then everything's at stake Every word gets weight Every promise gets a place Every sinner gets hope Every grave gets an expiration date He didn't just teach about life He defeated death He didn't just tell us God forgives He paid the debt The nails couldn't stop Him The stone couldn't lock Him The grave couldn't hold Him Death couldn't own Him Now tell me what other name makes that claim

Now here's where it gets personal Knowing Jesus isn't the same as following Jesus I said Christ was enough while I kept something in reserve Gave Him Sunday kept my weekdays for myself Wanted Jesus as my Savior wasn't ready for my Lord I chased applause achievement approval and pride Tried to fill an eternal hole with temporary highs But the grave makes everything honest When the money goes when the fame gets forgotten When the body gets weak and the heartbeat slows What did I build my life on and where does my soul go I can't call Him Lord and keep myself on the throne Can't say He is enough while I'm building my own So I lay down the idols the image the pride If He really conquered death then He gets my whole life

If your god can't save you why trust it If your god can't forgive you why follow it If your god can't defeat death why call it God Show me another Another empty grave Another King who walked out alive Another name that saves U can't Every idol has a grave But there's one empty grave

He died He was buried He rose The grave is empty So don't ask me what I believe Ask yourself If Jesus really walked out of that tomb What are u going to do with Him
