When you’re looking in the mirror

Do you like what’s reflected back?

I don’t always recognize it

Wonder when we lost track

I remember when I was little

I knew exactly who I s’pose to be

Was 8 years old, was gonna be a “Big Star”

Not sure now what that’s really mean

Reaching down

Your inner fighter

Knowing there’s no turning back

But I’m a good person, and try to always be one

And I admit that I’ve done wrong willingly

But I don’t strive for perfection, I’ve earn these scars I’m wearing

But that’s not all that will be left of me

It’s just me

Growing up can make it harder

Getting older, it’s harder still

Specially when you fill that child

With such hope and such will

Reaching down

That little fighter
