Any Second Now

It's been two months, four days

Since anything around here's changed

Except I fixed the lock on the backdoor

And the grass don't need cut anymore

Everyone said I’d be just fine

But how much time is enough time

To convince myself she ain't coming back

Cuz right now all I can think is that she

Hit traffic on the interstate

Missed an exit, or had to work late

Or she’s in the drive with the radio on

‘Cause she wants to hear the end of that song

She could’ve ran into an old friend

When she stopped at the pump to throw in a 10 or

Maybe she's about to call ‘cause she broke down

All I know is she'll be here any second now

I’ll never forget that cold night

Those terrible words, that pointless fight

Like I can't do this anymore

I'm gone for good when I walk out this door

Maybe what I pray for will come true

She'll walk back in and say I love you

I'll wrap her up and never let go

Man she's gotta be getting close.

There's no way that in the only one going through hell

At least that's what I been telling myself
