My Twilight

I open up my eyes and I look into the mirror

I realize my days are getting shorter every year

Taking life for granted really made the time go by

I wish I could relive it now I’m standing on the edge of my twilight

Dark shadows are moving in it’s my next turn in line

I got all my measurements for my new bed of pine

I try not to think about how my days turned to night

This is my last goodbye on this day ’s twilight

This day has come

And I don’t want to leave I want to stay

And finish all my dreams that I once had

Now it’s clear that all the mysteries will remain

Until I face this day of my twilight
