Cryin' Wolf

Lonely crow warrior sees his shadow And finds he is not alone So the young warrior breathes the moonlight And thanks them for this light he's shown Bending by a cool river he drinks his reflection And sees the mirrored image clear and wide Oh the war is near, but his chest swells with courage For this grey wolf will ride in by his side And they'll ride with the eyes of the eagle With the strength of the bear On the wild horses' sure-footed hooves Cryin' wolf, cryin' wolf Oh the eagle's feather he wears so proudly Will take to flight once more And the bear's claw, draped around his neck If you listen it will roar Oh the young warrior sits and wonders Of things the white man can't understand How these wild creatures who fought before him Can place their strength into his hands Oh the young warrior stares up into a world He is soon to roam Where these wild creatures will gently guide him Into his sacred spirit home Where they'll ride with the eyes of the eagle With the strength of the bear On the wild horses' sure-footed hooves Cryin' wolf, cryin' wolf
