While You Were Sleeping

The night was falling, your fears came calling

Then doubt crept in to take away your rest

Though you were cumbered, he never slumbered

The stage was set for him to do his best

God was working, while you were sleeping

Now everything is gonna be alright

He was moving, His power proving

God was working out your problems in the night

No choir was singing, no church bells ringing

No loved one came to help you understand

But in the stillness, God in his realness

Made you to rest while he perfects His plan
