In the childhood bedroom

Where I once looked out, now all I see

A jaded past self haunted by a fading history

Fast asleep for a decade, chambered in is really how it seemed

The sweetest joy of youth combined with teenage misery

The dead-end tiny towns always produce the biggest dreams

Time's slow smooth deception with it's harsh realities

And now we're back again

It hasn't change

I left myself here yesterday

Why does it feel like both

Pleasure and pain

A coming home

This old terrain

Vast, the space, it grew between us, stuck like glue, it wants to keep

You small and quiet safely by its willing you to sleep

An all consuming monster like a running factory

Main output production is pure mediocrity

And now we're back again

It hasn't change
