I felt that life, I smelled the burn of a pipe

Our people and the youth, we struggle as a group

Fighting battles on the daily, ask your elders for the truth

Language is our seed and we’re growing through the pavement

My mother is sacred, she’s a survivor for real

Though it’s taken her and I so many decades to heal

Still we persevere cos we’ve got dreams to fulfill

Like my sis Eekwol said, “Success is a Good Kill”

I’ll be killin’ it and doing this amongst my sisters!

Heal beside our men and truly educate the youngsters

They rely on us, and so we gotta stay tough
