My grandparent's house down the street

Had no nerve

No fear of falling no fear of dying

That was for

The bad guys in the movies

Girl grown tall

To bend with the branches

Dancing all

Alone with her shadow

From outside

The world is quiet just how she likes it

Separate from

The scene playing through the window

In that house

There's new family

I forgot

Until I saw

The lights up for Halloween

The kids are small

But soon enough they'll just grow up

And stop swinging from the maple tree
