Well I've been thinking About Noah and the ark What was going through heart As he was leaving? Were people crying For him to open up the door? And did he want to take some more Or wanna leave them? When the rain Came down on everything he knew Did he laugh or cry or wish he that we was blind? Cause it's hard For me to understand a God Who calls it love to end it all by raising tides Oh my head and my heart Feel two million miles apart But I think somehow God is somewhere in between Between Noah and his ark And a drowning world restart I think somehow God is somewhere in between Well I've been thinking About Joshua and his army What was flowing through his veins And through his conscience Were the people Begging Israel for mercy And did he think them underserving Of forgiveness? When the sword Cut through that mother's infant son Did he wish that he was never born at all? Was begging to be free?
